Played this place earlier this year when ownership was being transfer and it was in rough shape. you can tell that the new owners have been putting in a ton of money on the right things to make it better! new Bermuda greens were rolling fast and have grown in nicely, by next summer they should be pure. they are making moves to rescue some of the hardpack tee boxes and bad fairway areas. worth playing for the fun routing of this course and i cant wait to see how the conditions progress
My husband and I really enjoy this course and the staff is also super friendly. My only reservation to a 5 star review for this lovely public course is that there are multiple holes that do not have a proper tee box for the ladies. They’ve just put red markers down somewhere in front of the white tee boxes - and in most cases these ladies “tees” are on an incline and with untrimmed Bermuda grass. In those cases, I end up playing the whites w my husband.
Have been playing Wolf Creek off and on for at least 5 or 6 years. As others noted, there was a definitely a period between ownership changes where the course got in pretty bad shape. I went back in December 2023 and found the course to be very good shape for winter conditions and the greens probably in the best condition I've seen there. Worth a vist and convenient to intown Atlanta.
Played there August 15th. Course was well maintained, in fact as we played some holes were being serviced. Golf carts are out of this world!! Maps and distance were on the screen in the cart. Only draw back is, if you're new to the course, the cart will stop if you are in a restricted area in the fairway.
Most importantly was the great customer service at the front desk! Denise was very welcoming to us. I left a putter cover on one of the holes, left my info for her to call me if returned, and she did. And I believe she stayed a few minutes past her shift to do so. Overall great experience there. Can't wait to play there again.
It's a simple long-range course with good price. I liked it because there are not many options for a public course that have more than 3 holes of par 5s. They should work on the signs, though.
Awful shape after it’s under new management. No liquor license, so no beer on the course. Only 9 of the 18 holes are open which wasn’t mentioned on Golfnow. Check out the pics for the deplorable greens that they’re playing! It wouldn’t be worth $10 let alone ~$50
This was our first time coming to this golf course. Stopped here on our way back home to Arkansas and we are glad we did. We really did enjoy it. Everyone was very friendly and very professional. Also, the greens are nicely taken care of and the golf carts are excellent with great features. A huge thank you to Cliff and Kaylee (hope I spelled that right) for helping us get our sunglasses back to us. We accidentally left them in the golf cart.
Played golf today, 8/2/2023, at Wolf Creek Golf Club. Club representative, Denise greeted us with a pleasant conversation and great service. The course was in excellent shape! We had a wonderful time, and we are planning to schedule another round of play in the very near future.
